NMIMS MBA Admission 2027 Last Date Extended to Oct 31

NMIMS MBA Admission 2027 Last Date to Apply Extended to 31 October
NMIMS has extended the last date to apply for MBA admission 2027 to 31 October 2026. The official NMAT-NMIMS admissions portal now shows "Application Extended Till: 31st October 2026". As of 27 October, four days remain. The NMIMS MBA last date to apply matters because NMAT registration alone does not complete your application. You must also fill in the NMIMS form, pay the fee and submit it.
This is not the first extension, and it is also not mentioned anywhere that NMIMS will extend the date again. Do not wait for another change. Complete your application well before 31 October.
Candidates who have registered for NMAT but not yet finished Step 2 gain the most from this change. If you are still working out the first step, read our guide to NMAT registration, fees and exam pattern.

NMIMS MBA Admission Date Extended: What Changes for You?
The extension applies to the NMIMS application. It gives candidates more time to complete the second step of the process. Three points follow from that.
- It helps if you have NMAT registered but NMIMS pending. You can still finish the NMIMS form until 31 October.
- It does not replace NMAT. NMIMS MBA admission runs through NMAT by GMAC. One report says the extension does not reopen NMAT registration, so check the NMAT portal before you pay anyone.
- It does not guarantee a seat. Shortlisting depends on your NMAT score and later stages, which NMIMS has yet to schedule.
How to Apply for NMIMS MBA Admission 2027 Before 31 October
NMIMS describes a two-step process and your application counts as complete only after you finish Step 2.
- Register for NMAT by GMAC and book your test. Select NMIMS as a score recipient.
- Note your NMAT by GMAC registration number. You will need it for the NMIMS form.
- Open the NMIMS application on nmat.nmims.edu. Enter your NMAT ID to begin Step 2.
- Fill in your personal, academic and work-experience details. Choose your programme and campus preferences.
- Pay the NMIMS application fee online. The admission fee is ₹3,000, and it is non-refundable.
- Review everything, then submit. Check names, marks and preferences first.
- Save the confirmation. Keep a screenshot or PDF of the submission page.
Start at the official site: nmat.nmims.edu. The full rules sit in the NMIMS admission handout.

How NMIMS Selects Candidates After You Apply
The process has more stages than the application form.
- NMAT score. NMIMS accepts only your first-attempt score. Online home-proctored scores do not count.
- Shortlisting. NMIMS shortlists on sectional and total NMAT scores.
- Second stage. Shortlisted candidates take a Competency Test and/or Personal Interview in person. Call letters appear on your dashboard only, not by email or post.
- Merit list. NMIMS weighs NMAT performance, the interview and test, work experience and past academics. It sets the cut-off at its own discretion.
Work experience counts only when it follows graduation, lasts more than a year and comes from a company listed in both the GSTIN and TAN databases. Internships, trainee roles, family business and self-employment do not count.
Common Mistakes That Can Cost You the NMIMS Application
- Stopping after NMAT registration. Step 2 is the NMIMS application. Without it, you are not in the process.
- Entering the wrong NMAT ID. One wrong digit can block your form.
- Forgetting to select NMIMS as a score recipient. Fix this in your NMAT account.
- Assuming a retake score will count. NMIMS takes only the first attempt.
- Waiting for another extension. None is announced. Moreover, payment gateways can fail near a deadline.
- Paying an agent for a "guaranteed seat". NMIMS says admissions are merit-based. Nobody can promise a seat.
What If You Miss the NMIMS MBA Last Date to Apply?
Do not assume that NMIMS will reopen the form. Check the official portal and your email for notices. Meanwhile, consider the other options with a clear head.
- Other MBA exams. Several top schools run their own cycles. For example, see our report on SIBM Pune MBA admissions 2027 through SNAP.
- A different format. An online MBA is a separate programme with its own admission route, and it does not use NMAT. Our guide to online vs regular MBA explains the differences, NMIMS Online MBA programme and the admission checklist explains the MBA course in fully online mode.
- A fuller comparison. Costs and eligibility differ widely. Read our breakdown of NMIMS Online MBA fees, eligibility and placements.
The online MBA is not a substitute for the full-time programme, and the two lead to different experiences. Choose according to your career goals and budget.
